The Challenge
We were tasked in incubating a new name and logo for a commercial venture for Halliburton.
The Solution
After conducting research and brainstorming names, we arrived at NaviScale. NaviScale is a Halliburton commercial venture that leverages Halliburton's experience and expertise to help clean-energy and climate-tech ventures navigate their scale-up journeys. It assists them in identifying unseen risks in equipment design, optimizing their designs for manufacturing, verifying their readiness to scale, and securing suitable and reliable supplier relationships. With NaviScale, Halliburton can extend the impact of Halliburton Labs beyond participants and alumni. NaviScale will deliver a Halliburton-powered commercial solution to the broader climate tech market.
Art Direction
The NaviScale logo visually communicates guidance, growth, and innovation in the clean energy and climate tech sectors through its symbolic elements and typography. The upward arrow signifies progress and the scale-up journey, while the "N" formed by the arrow and rectangular shape subtly incorporates the brand name and suggests a pathway. The color gradient represents transformation and growth, transitioning from the initial energy of red to the innovative vision of purple. The bold, sans-serif typeface conveys stability, confidence, and a modern approach, reflecting NaviScale's reliability and expertise. Overall, the logo projects professionalism, trustworthiness, and dynamism, positioning NaviScale as a guide and partner for ventures navigating the complexities of scaling their operations.
Tools: Illustrator, Photoshop
The Result
The logo was well-received by the client, which led us to other projects, including creating a banner and a stylized deck for PowerPoint/Keynote.
NaviScale Guidelines
We faced the challenge of developing a set of mini brand guidelines that would effectively merge the Halliburton Labs and Halliburton brands. This involved blending colors from each brand's palette to create a cohesive color scheme, as well as exploring different background texture treatments.
