The Challenge
The INTEL FOUNDATION’s Future Skills program provides an opportunity for youth and incarcerated women to participate in online skills training exercises that builds confidence through open-ended, problem-based engineering challenges.
The Solution
Goal is to develop a platform we can use to tell the story of the Future Skills program — one they have not had time to tell to date.
Key audiences are general external, internal employees, non-profits, other foundations, government stakeholders, educational communities, and more.
Art Direction
Concept 1: This concept features small, doodle-style icons superimposed over the photography to suggest the multitude of ideas flowing through an individual's mind. The layout is divided, with the icon and photograph on one side, and the headline and body copy on the other.
Concept 2: My aim with this concept was to visually represent the progression from youth to adulthood through a half-and-half design, connecting this journey to the Future Skills program. An angled blue element was used to separate the two images, reinforced by the headline.
Tools: Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign
The Results
Both concepts were well received by the client and they went with concept 1.
Concept 1: Rationale
Science is all about asking questions … and sharing information is all about starting dialogue and generating conversation. Showcasing the INTEL FOUNDATION’s FUTURE SKILLS initiative, this campaign leads with a bold question that inspires thought and encourages audience engagement.

Concept 2: Rationale
The Intel Foundation’s Future Skills program focuses on reaching under-represented populations with the training, skills, and resources needed to change the world. In this campaign, we tell this story by starting with the ambitious dreams of girls today and showing how they’ll grow into successful women tomorrow. Each success celebrates the program’s efforts: more diversified contributors in the STEAM fields and equitable access to the opportunity to rise and advance.
